Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Uganda
Your adventure begins in Uganda, the ‘Pearl of Africa’. After landing and clearing customs at Entebbe International Airport, a driver will welcome you before a transfer to No.5 Boutique Hotel, where you’ll rest up for the night.
Settle into your room and, if you feel like relaxing, take a refreshing swim in the pool. The hotel also features a gym and spa, should you feel like getting those muscles warmed up before your upcoming trek. Later, treat yourself to a delightful dinner at the on-site restaurant before settling in for a restful night.
Days 2-4: Trek to See the Mountain Gorillas of Bwindi
After breakfast, meet your driver at reception for a quick road transfer back to Entebbe Airport. From there, board a light aircraft and take off toward the land of the silverback! Upon arrival at Kihihi Airstrip, you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your home for the next three nights—the beautiful, state-of-the-art Erebero Hills.
Perched above rolling hills and vibrant green landscapes, Erebero Hills boasts breathtaking panoramic views. This eco-conscious lodge is designed with both luxury and tranquillity in mind, offering a peaceful escape on the edge of Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
An early start on Day 3 begins with a nourishing breakfast to fuel your adventure. You’ll then head to the national park for a safety briefing before setting off on your gorilla trek. Encountering a habituated gorilla family in their natural habitat—watching them play, forage, and interact—is a rare and truly affecting experience. Take it in and make the most of the wealth of knowledge the rangers can provide.
When you’re not trekking and spending time with the gorillas, there’s plenty to enjoy back at the lodge. Engage in cultural and community-focused activities, relax in the comfortable lounge, or take a refreshing swim in the solar-heated pool. For a bit of extra indulgence, treat yourself to an in-room massage, rejuvenating tired muscles after a trek
Days 5-7: Lewa Conservancy – A Conservation Triumph
Enjoy a final morning at Erebero, soaking in the breathtaking views before a drive back to the airstrip for your flight to Entebbe. From there, board your next flight to Kenya’s bustling capital, Nairobi. Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, clear customs and exit the arrivals area where your driver will be waiting. You’ll then transfer across the city to Wilson Airport, a regional hub, to catch a light aircraft flight to Lewa Downs Airstrip. Upon landing, a guide will greet you and drive to the stunning Lewa Wilderness Lodge where you’ll stay for three nights.
With its prime position within the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy at the base of Mount Kenya, Lewa Wilderness is a sanctuary for some of Kenya’s rarest and most remarkable wildlife, including the striking Grevy’s zebra and the critically endangered black rhino. The lodge is centred on the original family farmhouse—a testament to a legacy of conservation dating back to the 1920s. The family remains deeply involved in protecting the area’s wildlife, restoring black rhino populations, and empowering local communities.
Beyond the classic game drives, Lewa Wilderness offers a range of unique and immersive activities. Explore the landscape on horseback or camelback, take a scenic flight in a vintage biplane for a bird’s-eye view of the conservancy, or spend a night under the stars with a fly-camping experience. Hike to the picturesque Ngarendare waterfalls for a refreshing swim, visit the Il’ Ngwesi village for a meaningful cultural exchange, or join the anti-poaching unit and their loyal canine team to witness firsthand the vital work being done to protect Kenya’s rhino population.
Days 8-10: The Finale – An Iconic Masai Mara Safari
Take in the sweeping views of the Lewa conservancy and Mount Kenya as you enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading back to the airstrip. From here, a scenic flight whisks you away to the iconic Masai Mara. Upon landing at Ol Seki Airstrip, your guide will be waiting to welcome you and transfer you to Naboisho Camp—your home for the final three nights of your safari adventure.
Set in the private Mara Naboisho Conservancy, which borders the Masai Mara National Reserve, the camp offers an exclusive and immersive safari experience. Being in a private conservancy means fewer vehicles at sightings, the freedom to enjoy night game drives and guided walking safaris, and authentic cultural encounters with the local Maasai community. The wildlife viewing is exceptional, with daily game drives offering the chance to witness the region’s abundant wildlife—including one of the highest predator densities in Africa.
Naboisho is an intimate camp, featuring elegantly designed rooms and a spacious main area that opens onto unforgettable views of the Mara plains. It’s the little moments that make the experience unforgettable—sunset drinks during your evening game drive, warm conversations around the fireside, and delicious alfresco meals, all set against the backdrop of the African wilderness.
Day 11: Farewell, Kenya
Enjoy a last morning in the Mara and a scrumptious breakfast before the drive back to the airstrip and flight to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. A driver will be waiting to take you across to the international airport for you to continue your journey home or onward.
