The Kigali Genocide Memorial is the starting point of this journey, which continues to Nyungwe Forest National Park for chimpanzee trekking and a canopy walk. You’ll also go to the well-known Volcanoes National Park to see the lake and walk at Bisoke. Go on a road journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in south-western Uganda to search for mountain gorillas. The Democratic Republic of Congo is one of the main few nations where sightseers can in any case encounter perfect/untainted wild. Day-1. Kigali – city tour

On this day you will arrive in your hotel where you will be picked up by one of our company representatives dressed in Amakula African Safaris uniform who will transfer you to the Kigali for a city tour and see and tour around the genocide monuments and you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day-2 Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

You will be transported to Nyungwe Forest National Park after breakfast at 6:00 am. On your route to the park, stop by Nyanza’s historic palace. You’ll take an afternoon canopy walk. The 90-meter-long canopy walkway in the Nyungwe Forest National Park in southwest Rwanda is 50 meters above the earth. The soaring platform is located above a deep, steep valley that winds through a vast forest. The largest walkway in East Africa is a 200m long structure with three towers. Nyungwe, which spans hundreds of square meters, is thought to be the oldest and largest afro-montane forest still present in East and Central Africa. It dates back to the last ice age.

Day-3. Nyungwe Forest National Park for Chimpanzee and canopy walk

You will be transported to Nyungwe Forest National Park after breakfast at 6:00 am. On your route to the park, stop by Nyanza’s historic palace. Day-4. Transfer to Kivu Lake and chill

Lake Kivu is located in an area with one of the highest population densities and population growth rates in the AGL region. Lake Kivu is home to around 28 fish species, half of which are cichlids found only in Lake Kivu. Lake Kivu is the largest local source of fish in Rwanda, providing more than 20,000 tons of fish per year and subsidizing fish imports for animal protein. The fishery supports 500,000 people in Rwanda and the DRC.

Day-5. Transfer to Goma (Congo) and Virungi Park

Goma is located in on the boarder or Rwanda and the DRC-Africa’s largest country. It is in the Eastern Part of the DRC. On the other side of Rwanda is Gishenyi.  Goma can be considered the capital of Northern Kivu province in the DRC

This town is about 20kms from the Nyiragongo Mountain-The most active volcano in Africa and home to the world’s largest Caldera. Over 400,000 people have been evacuated in the past to Rwanda over eruption here. The volcano has fluid lava which can reach the town in just 10mins. In 2002 the Goma airstrip run way was also covered and it was hard to evacuated people by air.

Even up to today, there is still big piles of lava in and around the town of Goma and most people have resorted to utilizing then as building material.

Day-6. Gorilla Trekking

The Democratic Republic of Congo is the only countries where visitors can track both mountain gorillas and their lowland cousins in the wild. It is the best country for seeing wild eastern lowland gorillas. Lowland gorillas can also be seen in zoos around the world while the mountain gorilla can only thrive in the wild. Lowland gorillas in DR Congo can be tracked at the Kahuzi Beiga National Park while the mountain gorillas are found in Virunga National Park. Mountain gorillas are generally larger in size than lowland gorillas with darker and thicker coats that are designed to help them survive in cold high altitudes.

Day-7. Chimpanzee Trekking

Trekking Chimpanzees in Virunga National Park in DR Congo is done throughout the year and the best time is during the dry season which occurs in the months of December, January, February, June, July, August and September.

Day-8. Nyiragongo

Mount Nyiragongo is an active stratovolcano with an elevation of 3,470 m in the Virunga Mountains associated with the Albertine Rift. It is located inside Virunga National Park, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, about 12 km north of the town of Goma and Lake Kivu and just west of the border with Rwanda.

Day-9. Transfer day back to Rwanda

You shall have a smooth drive from Congo back to Rwanda where you shall reach you hotel for relaxation.

Day-10. Volcanoes National Park trek

After a marvelous breakfast, you will be transferred for briefing about Golden Monkeys. You will start your Golden monkey Trek in the Morning after briefing at 08:00am. While searching for the monkeys once you find them you will spend 1hr with them and experience their interactions.

Day-11.Transfer to Uganda

After a marvelous breakfast, you will be transferred to lake Bunyonyi for relaxation passing via the Cyanika border which enters Uganda through the southern border.

Day-12. Queen Elizabeth National Park

At your leisure, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park, arriving in time for a hot lunch at the lodge where you will rest in preparation for your next safari days in the park.

Day-13. Queen Elizabeth National Park – Kazinga Channel

After an early morning warm up tea or coffee, you will head for a game drive along Kasenyi tracks and Queens Mile in search of animals like: lions, elephants, cape buffalos, warthogs, spotted hyenas, mangoose, waterbucks, kobs and, if you are lucky you will spot tree climbing lions. And later in the afternoon you will head out for an afternoon boat cruise after having your lunch.

Day-14. Rwenzori trek

Trekking the mystic Rwenzori Mountains National Park in Uganda is a truly fantastic and unique experience, the wonder of the high glaciers, the beauty of the valley of nine lakes, the bearded lichen hanging from giant heathers with a backdrop of rocky cliffs, crags and snow capped peaks. The wide variety of flora and fauna with several biospheres as you ascend through different vegetation zones creates the ultimate experience for trekking. Never before has this unique and beautiful trek been available, totally untouched and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful treks in the world.

 Day-15. Fort Portal.

Fort Portal is a situated in the Crater Lake District and is surrounded by lush green rolling hills which are fantastic for hiking and trekking. The hike to the Amabere Caves and Nyamiska Waterfalls is one of the most popular trails. The Amabere caves have appeared in many ancient Ugandan folklore tales.

Day-16. Transfer to Murchison Falls

You shall have a safe travel to Murchison falls at your own convenience and you shall be taking your time.

Day-17. Murchison Falls Safari

Today, we shall have an early morning breakfast and go for a game drive in the park before. Murchison falls harbors 76 mammal species and 451 bird species and its home of the world’s most powerful waterfall. You will have perfect opportunities to take as many pictures as possible of the animals. Later in the afternoon after lunch, you will go for an amazing boat cruise that will pass you to different animal and bird species up to the bottom of Murchison Falls and hike to the top of falls. The river Nile squeezes its self in a 7m gorge and produces a thunderous roar before it plunges into the devil’s cauldron.

Day-18. Murchison Falls Safari

After your breakfast, you will transfer to the airport passing via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary with time allowing.

Day-19. Transfer to Entebbe

You shall reach Kampala for a city tour and do a simple community tour to meet some vulnerable school going children anf then you shall transfer to Entebbe for relaxation.

Day-20. Entebbe and Lake Victoria.

You shall wake up after the breakfast to go do bird watching and meeting the shoebill stocks and after you will be transferred back to your hotel for relaxation.

Day-21. Departure to Vienna

You shall be transferred to the airport as a sign to end our beautiful 21 days.
