7 Days Gorilla Trekking & Wildlife Safari Holiday Rwanda allows you to explore the best destinations of Rwanda in detail. You will reach the different national parks each offering a unique experience, join on cultural activities, view wildlife in Akagera national park, The safari trip will take you to volcanoes national park for mountain gorilla trekking, gaze at Dian Fossey, Nyungwe national park for chimpanzees and other primates including canopy walk and cultural sites like King’s Palace at Nyanza, Butare Museums and Murambi Genocide Memorial Site where thousands of 1994 genocide victims were buried.

DAY 1 Day 1: Arrival At The Airport In Kigali

On arrival at Kanombe airport in Kigali Rwanda, you will be received by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel. Overnight at Chez Lando Hotel.

DAY 2 Transfer To Akagera National Park And Afternoon Boat Cruise.

In the morning, transfer to Akagera national park, reaching early for lunch. In the afternoon, go for boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you will be rewarded with view of lots of bird species, game as hippos, crocodiles among others. Return to Akagera Game Lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3 Game Drive And Transfer To Volcanoes National Park.

Early in the morning, you will go for game drives to the northern part of the park where you will see game as Zebras, bush bucks, elephant, buffalo among others. Proceed to Kigali and then to Volcanoes NP-Rwanda. Dinner and overnight stay at Mountain gorilla view Lodge/Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge/Muhabura hotel.

DAY 4 Gorilla Tracking And Cultural Walk

In the morning, you will go at the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. You will then ascend in the forest to track the amazing giants, an activity that will take 2-8 hours depending on the group allocated and the movement of the gorillas in their natural environment. You will stay with the gorillas for a maximum of 1 hour and then descend back to your lodge. In the evening, you will go for cultural tour to the Banyarwanda community to the Iby’wachu and learn more about the Banyarwanda culture. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 5 Transfer To Nyungwe

In the morning after a relaxed breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive to Nyungwe with en route stopovers for photography and lunch, reaching Nyungwe in the evening. You will visit the Batwa community in the evening and learn more about their way of life. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House/Nyungwe Forest Lodge.

DAY 6 Chimpanzee Tracking And Afternoon Canopy Walk/Colobus Monkey Tracking/Nature Walk.

In the morning, you will go for chimpanzee tracking where you will encounter other primate as well as a variety of bird species. In the afternoon, go for Either Colobus monkey tracking OR Waterfall trail OR Colobus monkey tracking. Then in the evening, you may go for cultural walk. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 7 Transfer Back To Kigali

In the morning after breakfast, set off for Kigali with en route visiting the King’s Palace at Nyanza, Butare Museums and Murambi Genocide Memorial Site. You will reach Kigali late in the afternoon. End of Safari
